Custom development

This is not a webshop. You send a requirement, we quote a tool, build it, sample it, and only then does production start — with one person accountable from the first drawing to the last carton.

Scope

What we can change

Almost every line on your packaging spec is a variable. These are the ones we control in-house.

01

Shape

Round, oval, square, Boston, long-neck, or a silhouette drawn from your brand guidelines.

02

Capacity

10 ml to 5 L. Wall thickness tuned so the bottle feels right in the hand without wasting resin.

03

Neck finish

18/410, 20/410, 24/410, 28/410, 28/400 and custom threads — matched to your pump or cap.

04

Material

PET, PETG, HDPE, LDPE, PP, plus rPET and PCR blends with recycled-content certification.

05

Colour & finish

Pantone matching in the resin, plus frosted, soft-touch, matte and gloss surface treatments.

06

Decoration

Silk screen, hot stamping, spray coating, pressure-sensitive labels and shrink sleeves.

Routes

Three ways in, depending on where you are starting

Most projects do not need a new mold. Knowing which route you are on is most of the cost conversation.

Route A

New mold from your design

You have a shape, a sketch or a 3D file. We review it for blowability or injectability, quote the tool, and cut it in our own shop — no third-party toolmaker in the chain.

  • DFM review before quoting — we tell you if the shape will not release
  • 3D render for approval before steel is cut
  • T1 sample in 20–25 days, two rounds of modification included
  • Tool ownership transferred to you once the mold is paid for
Route B

Modify a mold that already exists

Your bottle is 90% right, but the neck is wrong, or it needs to be 15 mm taller, or your logo has to be embossed in the base. Modifying is usually 30–60% cheaper than a new tool and two weeks faster.

  • Neck and thread changes on an existing body
  • Height and capacity adjustment within limits
  • Embossed or debossed branding in the base or shoulder
  • Sampling in 10–15 days instead of 25
Route C

Match a bottle you already sell

Send us the physical sample. We measure the neck, wall and weight, then find the closest mold in our library — or tell you honestly that it needs a new one.

  • Neck gauge and wall measurement report
  • Colour matched to your existing pack or a Pantone reference
  • Quote within 3 working days of receiving the sample
  • MOQ 1,000 pcs if a library mold fits

Budget

What tooling costs, roughly

Real numbers so you can plan. Final quotes depend on cavity count, steel grade and complexity.

Ordering

No checkout, no card, no surprises

There is no shopping cart on this site, and there never will be. Bottles are quoted per project, because the price depends on the mold, the resin, the decoration and the volume.

Everything runs on paper and a bank transfer:

  • Written quotation, valid 30 days
  • Proforma invoice (PI) with full specification attached
  • 30% deposit by T/T, 70% before shipment
  • L/C at sight for orders above USD 50,000
  • FOB Shantou or Shenzhen, or CIF if you prefer

FAQ

Questions about custom work

Do I own the mold after paying for it?

Yes. Once the tooling is paid in full, the mold is yours. You can request it be kept exclusively for your production, and we will not run it for another customer. Physical transfer of the mold is possible but usually not worth the freight.

What files do you need to quote a new bottle?

Best: STEP or IGES. Good: a dimensioned drawing. Workable: a clear photo with capacity, neck size and target weight. We can also work from a physical sample.

How many sample rounds are included?

Two modification rounds are included in the tool cost. Further rounds are charged at cost, typically USD 150–400 per round plus courier.

Can you sign an NDA before I send drawings?

Yes, we sign customer NDAs routinely. Send yours, or ask for our standard mutual NDA.

What if my volume is below the MOQ?

We will tell you honestly rather than take the order and lose money on it. Options are usually: start from a library mold at 1,000 pcs, accept a higher unit price for a short run, or wait until volume grows.

Do you handle the artwork and printing files?

We print from your files. Our team will check resolution, colour separation and dieline fit, and send a digital proof plus a physical pre-production sample for approval before the run.

Send the drawing. We will tell you what it costs.

A photo, a sketch on paper, a competitor's bottle — anything works as a starting point. You will get a straight answer on whether it needs a new mold, usually within two working days.
